The resonance effect is quite subtle, but if you increase you’ll hear a lot of resonance with saturation, which we do not want here. We also lowered the resonance to the maximum to obtain an even smoother sound. So we immediately softened the sound by reducing the VCF frequency to a maximum of 37 Hz (top right of the panel). There’s no default preset that gives you this sound directly, so we created it ourselves from the Dirty Vintage Stringz preset that seemed closest, although a bit aggressive at first. The first thing we did was try to find a soft pad sound with lots of sustain. Now, let’s look at the settings we made to customize the bx_oberhausen presets and adapt them to the sounds we want for this song. We show the bx_oberhausen drum kit settings that we used in the supplements to this article. Note that the drums we used for this track are taken from EZdrummer software. Listen here to the raw mix we made from a midi file without processing on the synths. It is a song written in the dance-pop style that can be reproduced quite easily using the Brainworx bx_oberhausen for all synth sounds. Today we will try to recreate the song Bad Habits by the British singer Ed Sheeran released in 2021. The Brainworx version is a faithful model of the original synth and allows to create a wide variety of sounds (Brass, Synth Pads, Bass, Drums, Soundscapes, Organs, Strings, Sound Effects, etc.).

The Two Voice is one of the first polyphonic keyboards created by the American engineer Tom Oberheim, only a few years after the creation of the company of the same name.

If you like old vintage synths from the 70s, you will love the Brainworx bx_oberhausen plugin which emulates the famous Oberheim Two Voice released between 19.
